The photo shows St. Nicholas the Wondermaker Orthodox Church. Behind the Orthodox Church, Kapu (Cemetery) Street branches off to the right from Kalvenes Street, along which we can get to the former Town Cemetery, which after the setting up of new cemetery in 1934 in Misiņkalns (Brass Hill) was named The Old Cemetery.

Today, the former Orthodox Church is the property of the Seventh-day Adventist Latvian Church Union, which houses the Aizpute Parish.

No new burials are made in the Old Town Cemetery.
